QR & Barcode Scanner
Read QR codes and barcodes from your camera or a photo, with the content classified and warning signs flagged. You can also make barcodes. Video and photos are never sent to a server.
Point the camera at a code; as soon as it is read the camera turns off and the result appears. Use good light and do not fill the whole frame with the code.
Upload a photo or screenshot that contains a QR code or barcode. Several images at once work too.
Drop photos here
or paste an image from the clipboard (Ctrl+V)
Make a 1D barcode from digits or letters and save it as SVG or PNG. Product barcodes (EAN/UPC) need a correct final check digit.
For EAN-13, enter 12 digits and the check digit is added for you. Real products need numbers registered with GS1. This tool only draws the symbol and does not vouch for the number.
When you scan an unknown QR code
- Scammers stick another QR sticker over a real one. For parking or restaurant payment QR codes, check that no sticker is layered on top.
- Read the domain (around the dots), not the start of the address. In paypal.com@bad-site.com everything before @ is just a username.
- If a page asks for passwords, payments or verification codes, do not arrive through a QR code — use the official app or a bookmark.
- otpauth:// codes are two-factor secrets. Never send or post them.
