Excel & CSV Analyzer

Open CSV or xlsx files to search, filter and sort, see per-column statistics, and a simple pivot (group totals) with bar charts. Files are processed only in this browser and never uploaded.

Files are read only inside this browser and are never uploaded to a server.

Add a CSV, TSV or xlsx file to open it as a table. CSV files saved by Korean Excel (CP949) are read automatically.

Good to know

  • .xls (old Excel format), password-protected files and macro files (.xlsm) are not opened. Save as .xlsx or CSV in Excel first.
  • Formulas are not calculated; the last result saved in the file is shown. Formatting (colors, fonts), charts and pictures are not read.
  • Files up to 20MB, 200,000 rows and 500 columns are read; anything beyond is cut off and flagged.
  • Columns that look like numbers or dates are only guessed for statistics; values are never changed (leading zeros in postal codes stay).
  • When saving CSV, text cells starting with =, +, - or @ get a leading apostrophe because Excel could run them as formulas (you can turn this off).

FAQ

Is my file uploaded?

No. Your browser reads the file itself and this page has no code that sends files. Even xlsx is read in the browser, not on a server.

Korean text in my CSV looks garbled.

Switch the encoding to EUC-KR (CP949). Korean Excel “CSV (comma delimited)” is usually that format. Auto-detection tries it first.

Are Excel formulas calculated?

No. The last calculated value saved in the file is shown.
